Abstract

O argumento fundamental desse trabalho reside na importancia assumida pelo desvendamento das visoes de natureza presentes nos discursos ambientalistas circulantes no Brasil, buscando traçar as distincões entre tais vi­sões e os modelos de apropriacão das mesmas no seio do movimen­to ambientalista no Brasil, na perspectiva do aprofundamento sustentabilida. Assim, pretende-se evidenciar o caráter, por vezes antagônico, adotado por segmentos do movi­mento ambientalista no emprego dessas representacões discursivas bem como algumas repercussões dessas posturas no tocante à redefinição das contribuições e do alcance efetivo da sustentabilidade no âmbito constitutivo da Teo­ria e Meio Ambiente em nosso pais.
