The purpose of the article is to analyze the work of care in home care. Taking Zelizer as a reference we problematize the working environment by questioning the binary opposition work and intimacy. The research is based on semi-directed interviews. It is observed that the construction of labor relations comes from the negotiation of ties and meanings. The main challenges of everyday life refer to the precariousness of work and to unne- gotiable labor activities additionally required taking place in the silence of intimacy.Downloads
