Abstract

This text comparatively analyzes the narratives of six immigrant educators in higher education, three in Sergipe (BR) and three in Massachusetts (USA), with the aim of showing how these educators influence the formation of individuals in higher education by understanding their trajectories and knowledge that influence teaching practices. For this purpose, the concepts of society and individual by Elias (1994), teaching knowledge by Tardif (2012), and the Comparative Case Study (ECC) approach by Bartlett and Vavrus (2017) are used. From this study, it is found that their integrated experiences in teaching practice enhance the educational experience and contribute to the improvement of the societies they are part of.
