This article examines the platformization of advertising influence and its role in surveillance capitalism, along with implications for sociability and subjectivity. Based on the notion of platformization, it analyzes three dimensions — data infrastructures, markets, and governance — highlighting how the materialities of advertising platforms reshape influence technologies. The article argues that this process places advertising at the core of the productive logic of surveillance capitalism, which is driven by datafication infrastructures, algorithmic mediation, multilateral markets of the digital influence industry, and governance practices through attention management.
