O cadastro no sistema e posterior acesso, por meio de login e senha, são obrigatórios para a submissão de trabalhos, bem como para acompanhar o processo editorial em curso. Acesso em uma conta existente ou Registrar uma nova conta.

Condições para submissão

Como parte do processo de submissão, os autores são obrigados a verificar a conformidade da submissão em relação a todos os itens listados a seguir. As submissões que não estiverem de acordo com as normas serão devolvidas aos autores.

Diretrizes para Autores

1 . POLÍTICA ANTIPLÁGIO

Os artigos publicados e as referências citadas na Revista Eptic  são de inteira responsabilidade de seus autores.

Os autores devem garantir a inteira originalidade de seus artigos e que qualquer trabalho ou palavras provenientes de terceiros(as), colaboradores(as) ou fontes foram devidamente acreditados e referenciados. Os autores devem atestar que os artigos submetidos à Revista EPTIC não foram copiados ou plagiados de outros trabalhos, no todo ou em parte. Ë recomendável a observação, pelo autores, das diretrizes do COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

Uma primeira avaliação do conteúdo textual dos artigos - procurando identificar plágios, submissões duplicadas , republicações  e possíveis fraudes – será realizada pela comissão editorial da Revista  que recusará o artigo no caso de constatação de plágio ou fraude.

Ao submeterem qualquer texto à Revista  os autores declaram que os materiais apresentados estão livres de direito de cópia (copyright), não cabendo, portanto, à Revista EPTIC  e a seus editores, quaisquer responsabilidades jurídicas. As submissões, se aprovadas, serão publicados pela Revista sob a licença Creative Commons CC BY-NC-AS.

2. NORMAS GERAIS DE SUBMISSÃO

2.1. A Revista Eptic  recebe colaborações, na área de Economia Política da Informação, da Comunicação e da Cultura, em forma de artigos, ensaios e entrevistas, que poderão ser redigidas em português, espanhol, francês ou inglês.

Exige-se dos autores das seções ARTIGOS E ENSAIOS e DOSSIÊ TEMÁTICO a titulação mínima de mestre e que os mesmos sejam resultantes de estudos teóricos e/ou pesquisa.

A Revista se reserva o direito de publicar o artigo na língua original ou em tradução, de acordo com decisão do Conselho Editorial, desde que com a anuência do autor. 

Os autores que pretenderem publicar artigos com regularidade na Revista devem aguardar três números consecutivos para tanto.

2.2. Durante o processo de avaliação, todo material submetido à Revista será encaminhado ao Comitê Editorial, que fará o encaminhamento a pareceristas ad hoc para avaliação no que diz respeito à adequação ao perfil da revista, à temática de cada edição e ao conteúdo e à qualidade das contribuições.

Cada trabalho será avaliado sempre por, no mínimo, um parecerista. Em caso de parecer negativo, o mesmo será submetido a um segundo parecerista e, se necessário (no caso de pareceres divergentes) a um terceiro.

O prazo solicitado aos pareceristas para a emissão de sua avaliação é de quatro semanas. O artigo poderá ser aprovado desde que atenda as devidas alterações indicadas pelo pareceristas, ou recusado. Os autores serão informados sobre os textos não aceitos para publicação. Os nomes dos pareceristas permanecem em sigilo, assim como os nomes dos autores.

2.3. Uma vez aprovado, os autores transferem os direitos autorais dos artigos para publicação na revista, sobre licença Creative Commons CC BY-NC-AS.

3. ENCAMINHAMENTO DOS ORIGINAIS

3.1. As submissões deverão ser feitas por meio do Sistema Eletrônico de Editoração de Revistas (SEER) mediante cadastro de usuário/autor.

Ao cadastrar o perfil no sistema, informar por extenso os dados solicitados, evitando o uso de siglas. O(s) autor(es) devem guardar login e senha de acesso para acompanhamento do processo editorial.

Como condição para submissão, é obrigatório que todos os autores e coautores tenham cadastro ORCID. As credenciais ORCID devem obrigatoriamente ser informadas, no sistema de submissões da Revista, nos metadados de todos os autores e coatores da submissão.

3.2. Os autores devem realizar o cadastro (Login/Senha) no site da revista (www.seer.ufs.br/index.php/eptic/index) na seção Submissões Online, preencher corretamente o perfil e escolher a opção “AUTOR”. Após haver realizado esses passos, deve ir para “SUBMISSÕES ATIVAS” e iniciar o processo de submissão através do link “CLIQUE AQUI PARA INICIAR O PROCESSO DE SUBMISSÃO”, no qual irá realizar os cinco passos básicos:

A - Início: Iniciar o processo de submissão, confirmando se está de acordo com as condições estabelecidas pela revista (marcando as caixas de seleção das condições e da declaração de direito autoral) e selecionar a seção ARTIGOS E ENSAIOS ou DOSSIÊ TEMÁTICO;

B - Inclusão de metadados: indicar os dados principais: nome, sobrenome, e-mail, ORCID de cada um dos autores e coautores, além de título, resumo do artigo e palavras-chave;

C - Transferência de manuscritos: realizar a transferência do arquivo para o sistema;

D - Transferência de documentos suplementares: realizar a transferência de arquivos com informações suplementares, que funcionam como um apêndice ou anexo ao texto principal, tais como instrumentos de pesquisa, conjuntos de dados e tabelas, que seguem os padrões de ética de avaliação, fontes de informação normalmente não disponíveis para leitores, ou figuras e/ou tabelas que não podem ser integradas ao texto em si.

E - Confirmação: Concluir a submissão.

Após concluir os cinco passos acima descritos, o autor deve aguardar o e-mail do editor. Nesse ínterim, o autor, efetuando o login na página online da Revista, na tela “Submissões Ativas”, pode acompanhar todo o fluxo de seu trabalho, desde a submissão, passando pelo aceite, avaliação, re-edição do original, até a sua publicação. Os artigos, após a submissão, são designados aos avaliadores definidos pela Comissão dede Redação.

3.3. A formatação deverá seguir as normas da revista, conforme indicadas no modelo padrão da revista (Template)

4 - APRESENTAÇÃO DOS ORIGINAIS

OS ARTIGOS QUE NÃO ESTIVEREM DE ACORDO COM AS ESPECIFICAÇÕES ABAIXO SERÃO RECUSADOS PELA COMISSÃO EDITORIAL DA REVISTA.

4.1. Formatação: Todos os trabalhos devem ser digitados em Microsoft Word, ou programa compatível (o arquivo deve ser salvo com a extensão .doc ou .docx). O tipo da fonte, o tamanho da fonte, espaçamento entre linhas, espaçamento entre  parágrafos, formato da folha, margens e demais aspectos formais devem obrigatoriamente seguir o modelo padrão da revista (Template). Submissões que não estejam devidamente formatadas serão rejeitadas.

4.2. Extensão: Os artigos submetidos para as seções  ARTIGOS e ENSAIOS e DOSSIÊ TEMÁTICO deverão ter entre 25.000 e 45.000 caracteres com espaços, incluindo título e resumo (com no máximo 100 palavras), palavras-chave (no máximo 5), em português, espanhol e inglês, e referências.

4.3. Figuras, fotos e tabelas devem estar inseridas ao longo texto conforme modelo padrão da revista (Template).

4.4. O nome do autor, titulação máxima obtida, vínculo institucional, cidade, país, endereço eletrônico e ORCID são informações obrigatórias para submissão dos artigos. No sentido de garantirmos a avaliação às cegas estes dados, bem como eventuais indicadores de autoria, NÃO DEVEM vir no corpo do artigo, mas sim nos METADADOS DE SUBMISSÃO a serem registrados no sistema de submissões.

4.5. Organização (por se tratar de uma publicação internacional, é obrigatório a apresentação do título e resumo em português, espanhol e inglês)

  • AGRADECIMENTOS E FONTES DE FINANCIAMENTO (se houver).

É obrigatório seguir modelo padrão da revista (Template).

As citações (sistema autor-data) e referências, a cargo dos autores, deverão seguir rigorosamente, sob pena de não publicação do artigo, as normas da Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas (ABNT) NBR 6023/2018 e ABNT NBR 10520/2023 .

Referências a autorias no decorrer do texto deverão adotar o seguinte formato: Autor (ano) ou Autor (ano, paginação). Para autorias indicadas ao final de parágrafos, conforme determina a versão mais recente da norma ABNT NBR 10512/2023, deverá ser adotado o seguinte formato: (Autor, ano) ou (Autor, ano, paginação). Em todas as citações diretas (citações literais), é obrigatória a indicação da paginação. Nas citações indiretas, a indicação da paginação é opcional.

 

1. ANTI-PLAGIARISM POLICY

The articles published and the references cited in Eptic Journal are the sole responsibility of their authors.

The authors must guarantee the complete originality of their articles, and that any work or words belonging to third parties, collaborators or sources were properly credited and referenced. The authors must certify that the articles submitted to Eptic Journal were not copied or plagiarized from other works, completely or partly. It is recommended that the authors obey the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.

An initial evaluation of the textual content of the articles – seeking to identify plagiarism, duplicated submissions, republications and possible fraud – will be carried out by the journal’s editorial board, which will reject the article in case there is plagiarism or fraud.

Upon submitting any text to the Journal, the authors declare that the materials presented are copyright-free, therefore, any legal responsibilities do not fall to Eptic Journal and its editors. The submissions, if approved, will be published by the journal under the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-AS license.

2. GENERAL STANDARDS FOR THE SUBMISSION

2.1. Eptic Journal receives collaborations, in the field of Political Economy of Information, Communication and Culture, in the form of Articles, Essays, Research Reports, Interviews, which may be written in Portuguese, Spanish, French or English.

The authors of the sections ARTICLES AND ESSAYS and THEMATIC DOSSIERS must have at least a master’s degree, and the texts must be the results of theoretical studies and/or research.

The Jounal reserves the right to publish the article in the original language or translated, according to a decision by its Editorial Board, after author's agreement. .

Authors who intend to publish articles in the Journal regularly must wait three consecutive issues in order to do so.

2.2. During the evaluation process, all the material submitted to the journal will be sent to the Editorial Board, which will forward it to ad hoc reviewers, who will in turn evaluate if ti fits the journal’s focus, the theme of each edition, the content and quality of the contributions.

Each text will be evaluated by at least one reviewer. In case of a negative opinion, the text will be submitted to a second reviewer and, if necessary (if there are different opinions), to a third reviewer.

The reviewers are requested to issue their opinion within four weeks. The article can be approved, as long as the alterations suggested by the reviewers have been made, or rejected. The authors will be informed of the texts that have been rejected and will not be published. The names of the reviewers remain secret, as well as the names of the authors.

2.3. Once approved, the authors transfer the copyrights of the articles for publication in the journal, under the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-A license.

3. FORWARDING OF THE MANUSCRIPTS

3.1. Submissions must be made through the Electronic System of Journal Publishing (SEER) after making the user/author registration.

Upon filling out the profile in the system, all the data requested must be written in full, avoiding abbreviations. The author(s) must keep credentials (user's login and password) in order to accompany the publishing process.

As a condition for submission, it is mandatory that all authors and co-authors have an ORCID registration. The ORCID credentials must be informed in the metadata of the journal’s submission system.

3.2. The authors must register (Login information /password) on the journal’s website (www.seer.ufs.br/index.php/eptic/index), in the Online Submissions section, fill out the profile correctly and choose the “AUTHOR” option. After doing so, they must go to “ACTIVE SUBMISSIONS” and start the submission process through the link “CLICK HERE TO START THE SUBMISSION PROCESS”, in which the five basic steps can be found:

A – Start: Start the submission process, confirming the agreement with the conditions established by the journal (by checking the boxes to select the conditions and the copyright declaration) and select the ARTICLES or REVIEW section;

B – Inclusion of metadata: provide data: name, last name, email, ORCID of each author and coauthor, title, abstract and keywords of the article;

C – Transference of manuscripts: upload the file into the system;

D – Transference of additional documents: upload any files with additional information, that work as an appendix or annex to the main text, such as research tools, data and tables, following the standards of evaluation ethics, sources of information not usually available to readers, or images and/or tables that cannot be incorporated into the text itself.

E - Confirmation: Conclude submission.

After concluding the five steps aforementioned, the author must await an email from the editor. In the meantime, the author, by logging in on the online page of the journal, at “Active Submissions”, can accompany the entire flow of their article, from submission to acceptance, evaluation, editing of the original and publication. The articles, after the submission, are assigned to the reviewers chosen by the Writing Commission.

4 – PRESENTATION OF THE MANUSCRIPTS

ARTICLES THAT DO NOT FOLLOW THE SPECIFICATIONS BELOW WILL BE REJECTED BY THE JOURNAL'S EDITORIAL BOARD.

4.1. Formatting: All manuscripts must be typed using Microsoft Word or a compatible program (the file must be saved as a .doc or .docx). The font type, font size, space between lines, space between paragraphs, sheet size, margins and all text formatting must follow the journal's Template

4.2. Lenght: The ARTICLES and ESSAYS must have between 25.000 and 45.000 characters with spaces, including the title and abstract (no longer than 100 words), keywords (a maximum of 5) in Portuguese, Spanish and English, and the references.

4.3. Images, photographs and tables must be inserted in the text, as exemplified in the journal's Template.

4.4. The name of the author, highest academic degree, institutional affiliation, city, country and email address are mandatory information for the submission of articles. To ensure blind evaluation, these data, as well as possible indicators of authorship, MUST NOT appear in the body of the article, but provided as SUBMISSION METADATA in the submission system.

4.5. Organization (since it is an international publication, it is mandatory to present title, abstract and keywords in Portuguese, Spanish and English):

It is mandatory to follow the journal's model (Template).

Citations (author-date system) and references, which are the responsibility of the authors, must strictly follow the rules of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT) NBR 6023/2018 and ABNT NBR 10520/2023, under penalty of the article not being published.

References to authors throughout the text should be in the following format: Author (year) or Author (year, pagination). For authorships indicated at the end of paragraphs, as determined by the most recent version of ABNT NBR 10512/2023, the following format should be adopted: (Author, year) or (Author, year, pagination). In all direct quotations (verbatim quotations), it is compulsory to indicate the pagination. In indirect quotations, the indication of pagination is optional.

 

 

ARTIGOS E ENSAIOS

A seção ARTIGOS E ENSAIOS recebe textos inéditos e originais, isto é, não publicados em livros, periódicos nacionais e anais de eventos (neste último caso, aceitam-se versões "revistas e ampliadas", desde que façam a devida referência ao evento e local de publicação da primeira versão) sobre Economia Política da Informação, da Comunicação e da Cultura e suas interfaces com outros campos disciplinares. Os autores, ou no caso de coautorias, os primeiros autores dos artigos devem possuir a titulação mínima de MESTRE.

Os artigos devem obedecer estritamente as diretrizes e normas de submissão de artigos, sob pena de serem recusados.

The section ARTICLES AND ESSAYS receives texts that are unpublished and original, that is to say, not published in books, national journals and proceedings of scientific events (in the latter case, “revised and extended” versions are accepted, provided that they reference the event and place of publication of the first version) about Political Economy of Information, Communication and Culture and its interfaces with other disciplinary fields. The authors of the articles must have at least a master’s degree.

The articles must adhere strictly to the guidelines and standards for the submission of articles, under penalty of being rejected.

DOSSIÊ TEMÁTICO

A seção especial DOSSIÊ TEMÁTICO é definida pelo conselho editorial, com chamada para artigos específica e sob a responsabilidade de editores especificamente definidos para esse fim. Esta seção só recebe artigos de autores ou primeiros autores com a titulação mínima de MESTRE.

The special section THEMATIC DOSSIERS is defined by the editorial board, with specific call for papers, under the responsibility of editors who are specifically defined for it. This section only receives articles from authors or first authors with a minimum master’s degree.

Essa seção recebe resenhas de dissertações, teses e livros recentemente concluídas e/ou publicados do campo da EPC.
