The learning law as a tool for reducing illegal working conditions in Brazil and Sergipe

This article aims to understand the systematics surrounding the Learning Law and its applicability, taking into account the peculiarities of children and adolescents in Sergipe. With the recognition of new subjects of law and the constitutionalization promoted by the Federal Constitution of 1988, there was an evolution in guarantees for children and adolescents, promoting various mechanisms to combat exploitation and the deterioration of the dignity of these individuals. Among the tools is the aforementioned law, object of this study, which seeks, through professionalization, to train and insert young people in the world of work, aiming to reduce social inequalities. Despite its potential, there is still resistance from employers to comply with the law, so this article seeks to reflect on its social, legal and historical context, evaluating its applicability, effectiveness and possible violations. Understanding this problem, it is necessary to face the challenges and opportunities for the insertion of adolescents and young people in the Brazilian context, taking into account the issue of informality and unemployment. Through the bibliographic deductive method, using specific legislation and specialized doctrine as sources, the work identified the importance of applying the learning law to face the exploitation of child labor, overcoming informality and unemployment.
