Time to celebrate: Revista TOMO is now Qualis A2!

We begin 2026 with wonderful news — and we are excited to celebrate it with the entire Revista TOMO community!

In Brazil, the national journal evaluation system known as Qualis, developed by CAPES, guides the assessment and performance of academic journals. Rankings range from A1 (top rank), followed by A2, A3, A4, B1, B2, B3, and B4 (lowest rank), and refer to a four-year evaluation cycle.

Yesterday, the results for the 2021–2024 quadrennium were released, and we are extremely proud to announce that Revista TOMO has achieved an A2 classification, the second highest rank in the Qualis system!

This achievement is truly collective. We warmly thank all authors, reviewers, and readers who help build Revista TOMO every day. We remain committed to a continuous submission model, fully free of charge — with no fees for submission, publication, or access — and to the principles of open science. We publish preprints, make peer-review reports publicly available, and value transparency throughout the entire editorial process.
