This research, based on a systematic review with 135 empirical studies and the PRISMA protocol, analyzed the main factors that influence the educational ecosystem. The results revealed that the literature focuses mostly on the internal environment of institutions, highlighting governance, infrastructure, inclusion, well-being, active methodologies and teacher training as central elements. Among the external factors, regulation, funding and socio-economic conditions appear as challenges and opportunities. Regional inequalities continue to be barriers to equity, requiring policies that are more in line with local realities. Collaboration between universities, the productive sector and government is essential to strengthen employability and bring academic knowledge closer to professional skills. Communication, collaboration and sustainability emerge as cross-cutting dimensions that shape the ecosystem. The research reinforces the need for institutional strategies that balance tradition and innovation, ensuring the relevance of educational institutions in a dynamic and changing educational landscape.
