Abstract

This work presents a situation of LGBTQIAPN+phobic prejudice, especially against transvestites, carried out by a federal deputy from the state of Roraima against a gay artist who had his show canceled at an event in the city of Boa Vista, using a religious belief with a traditional bias as an instrument of defense. The congressman's speech was posted on one of his social networks. To do this, the theory of frames from interactional sociolinguistics was applied, using the authors Goffman (1982; 1891); Tannen and Wallat (1987), Batenson (1972; 2002), etc. This article comes to the conclusion that the congressman went unpunished for such an act before the courts, and that his speech feeds the homophobic prejudice that is present in the Roraima community to the point of depriving a group of Roraima residents of access to cultural performances involving minorities.
