Abstract

This reflection originated from readings and contributions promoted by the course “Contemporary Technologies, Education, and Teaching” when it was offered. Although the text’s title does not explicitly contain the category that takes center stage in this article – communication – the term gained prominence due to the call to action: “communication must be saved.” This call to action has significant implications for education. Thus, one might ask: what role does education play in the salvation of communication? Through interviews conducted with the participating students in the research, it is evident that the urgency to save communication is also echoed in the field of education. The results indicate that education and communication are intertwined, and when considering means and methods to rescue communication, if necessary, it leads us to bring education to the discussion table. The theoretical framework for this discussion includes the works of Wolton, Freire, Castells.
