Abstract

The text explores the relationship between Christianity and Marxism, based on the work of Thomas H. Guback, heir and continuer of the tradition of Political Economy of Communications studies, who became an Episcopal father at the age of 64. This is a good example of a “velho” who, like Paulo Freire and Terry Eagleton, remains militant both with Christ and with Marx and, furthermore, was able to confront with lucidity the or “metaphysical horror.”
