Abstract

This study examines advertising production practices from the perspective of working women. It draws on accounts from the Mad Women Talks WhatsApp group about routines and dynamics shaping their careers in the advertising market. The analysis aims to understand the current landscape and the practices that act as barriers to entry and permanence. Results show agencies resisting structural changes and a division among female professionals between submission, dissent, and resistance, highlighting ongoing tensions in the profession and in the pursuit of more equitable work environments within the advertising industry.
