Abstract

The unequal relationship in access to audiovisual productions for people with hearing and visual impairments is due to the tension of the market logic, the low insertion of accessibility in the production chain and in the audiovisual. It is even more latent for people with hearing impairments and deaf people, whith different forms of communication, and audiovisual media has the potential to disseminate sign language. This article discusses the dynamics of accessible production, how accessibility resources were implemented in Brazilian television, and stresses the relationship between the mandatory nature of the regulatory scenario and the reorganization of the market.
