Abstract

This study examines the complex dynamics of intersectionality in the context of femicide, arguing that multiple social factors – gender, race, and class – act as factors that increase the lethality of this lethal violence. The main focus is on analyzing how these social markers converge to increase the lethality of black and peripheral women in domestic environments. The research adopts a mixed methodology, combining a literature review and a qualitative analysis of numerical data. Ultimately, the work aims to promote awareness of the intersectional vulnerabilities that drive femicide and, crucially, to support the creation and improvement of public policies that are sensitive to these social markers, ensuring their effectiveness and the full application of the principle of equality. It is concluded that the intersectionality of these social markers not only adds vulnerabilities, but multiplies them, resulting in a disproportionate lethality of femicide among black and peripheral women, which demands prevention and combat strategies that consider the complexity of these experiences.
