The journal ConCI: Convergences in Information Science is a rolling pass journal, linked to the Graduate Program (PPGCI) of the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS), São Cristovão, SE, Brazil. It is published through the Portal of Periodicals of the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS) in OJS3, in open access modality. It focuses on the scientific dissemination of studies and reflections that contribute to the promotion of Information Science and related areas, such as: Archiving, Librarianship, Museology, Information Science and Information Management.
ConCI privileges the production of researchers, professors, students and professionals from the above mentioned areas in the form of original articles, review articles, essays, experience reports, translations, reviews and interviews in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.
Submissions of a merely descriptive nature are not expected, such as bibliographical survey studies in databases on themes, authors, institutions, methodologies, among others, without contemplating an in-depth analysis of the research theme, as well as explaining the true contribution to the field of knowledge.
As of 2021, ConCI adopted the continuous publication mode. In previous years, ConCI maintained its quarterly periodicity (when issues were published in the months: Jan./Apr.; May/Aug. and Sept./Dec.)
