Keeping its multidisciplinary character, the Boletim do Tempo Presente brings in its first edition of 2020 five articles and two reviews from different areas of knowledge.

The initial article, done through a partnership with a professor at the Central University of Finance and Economics in China, brings a discussion about the format of scholarship allocation for students from the various Confucius Institutes around the world. Following, Professor Sandra Simone surveys and analyzes the issue of accessibility in Recife, under an anthropological perspective.

Then, in the area of geography, is presented the use of geotechnologies to expand knowledge in the area. The fourth article deals with the living conditions of different family arrangements, highlighting a socioeconomic view of the Brazilian population.

Finally, two articles are presented on the area of public administration and on the importance of water quality control for use in irrigation.

Right after the articles, two reviews of manuscripts from the history area are presented, allowing a prior analysis of these materials for interested professionals and students.

Therefore, there is a need for multidisciplinary discussions that can analyze the different issues addressed by Brazil and the world through different, but complementary, perspectives.
