Abstract

This article analyzes the formation of the Cooperativa Agropecuária Mista do Oeste (Coopagro) in Toledo-PR, between 1970 and 1980. Based on documentary and oral sources, it problematizes the "progress" image built by the cooperative, contrasting it with the experiences and labor relations of its employees. The objective is to unveil the underlying contradictions to the apparent stability and development of the period, questioning the hegemonic narrative of regional cooperativism.
