Entre Entre Botas e Câmeras
Cinema, Juventude e Intolerância no século XXI
Abstract
Abstract: This article investigates the representations of intolerance and neo-fascism in the documentary Skinhead Attitude! (2003) by Daniel Schweizer. The central issue is to understand how cinema shapes interpretations of youth skinhead groups and how these representations relate to the rise of the far-right in the 21st century. The study aims to revisit the 2012 analysis of the documentary, expanding it in light of the current context. The methodology combined filmic and contextual analysis, considering both internal elements of the work (plot, aesthetics, characters, music) and external aspects (historical context, reception, circulation). The results suggest that cinema functions as an interpretive lens of the present, revealing tensions among different skinhead currents. Thus, films not only document but also reinterpret intolerance, contributing to debates on memory, identity, and resistance in contemporary society
