Abstract

This article aims to present some considerations about the military press during the Second Reign. The military press can be understood as a series of newspapers published by military personnel with the aim of defending the interests of the military class. The newspapers analyzed criticize the abandonment of the military class, especially the Voluntários da Pátria. The study and analysis of the military press allow the elucidation of new paths of interpretation about the relationship between the military and politics in the 19th century
