Abstract

This article aims to problematize the Latin American development model that is based on the so-called mega-ventures, projects that combine public and private investments and aim to “transform” certain territories into consumption routes. Such ventures share a megalomaniac fetish, that is, the need to “be big”, moving the capitalist economy of extraction.
