Educating on the Right of Resistance:
Harry Potter and the Partisan Movements
Abstract
The research aims to analyze human rights education through the lenses of youth literature. An analysis of the book Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and the right to resistance is proposed by demonstrating similarities and differences between themes explored in the book and the civilian population resistance (partisan movements) in the context of the Second World War and the Holocaust. The conclusions point to the possibility of use of the parallels established as a tool for human rights education.
