Abstract

Almanacs were present among various peoples from West to East. Over several centuries and in various guises, pharmacy almanacs arrived in Brazil from the 19th century onwards. These persuasive publications projected an idealization of women and the normalization of their bodies, disseminating the nation's progress project. We believe that these sources were very important tools to support an ideal of modernization through the perspective of health and health education, especially during the first six decades of the 20th century.
