“Fluttering At The Tipo Of Our Present”: An Analysis Of The Trajectory Of Father Ivan Teófilo In The Context Of The Brazilian Civil-Military Dictatorship

Abstract

We aim to build an analysis of the role of Father Ivan Teófilo in the political field and the confluence of this action on the theological foundations. Therefore, we used the methodological procedures of oral history, documentation from the National Information Service (SNI) and the Aeronautics Security Information Center (CISA). We believe that historicizing the trajectory of this parish priest, based on the disciplinary field of the History of the Present Time, is an important mechanism for “shaking up in the problems of our time”.
