The teaching practices and knowledge of a group of elementary school geography teachers who teach on the trinational border, between Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina, in the region of Foz do Iguaçu - Paraná, were investigated. We also sought to analyze how these teachers work with their students on the concept of borders, identifying which teaching strategies and resources they employ in their classes for this purpose. By seeking to understand the relationships that permeate the teaching of the concept of borders, the research sought to dialogue with the vision and experience of the interviewed teachers who reside and experience the trinational border. The questionnaire was administered using Google Forms, using the data collection technique known as “Snowball”. Among the results achieved, it stands out that there is a certain polysemy regarding the understanding and depth of the concept of borders among the teachers interviewed. The most used teaching material is the map, followed closely by the textbook. Among the use of digital media, YouTube videos, Power Point presentations and documentaries stand out.
