Abstract

This article examines how Amélie Nothomb’s novel Sede (2021) establishes dialogues with the French literary canon, particularly through the Intertexts of François de Malherbe and Marcel Proust. The study is grounded In Leyla Perrone-Moisés’s (2016) reflections on literature, canon, and memory, as well as In the theories of Antoine Compagnon (1996), Authier-Revuz (2007), Roland Barthes (2004), and Tiphaine Samoyault (2008) concerning citation, allusion, and Intertextuality. Through this analysis, the article seeks to understand how Nothomb reinscribes texts from the literary tradition Into a new narrative fabric, transforming canonical heritage Into living material for creation and meaning.
