This article analyzes discursive manifestations and evidence of informational practices of atypical mothers on the Instagram profile @somoscolodemae. The study aims to understand how these mothers use Instagram to seek, use, share, and re-signify information in contexts marked by uncertainty. The concept of informational practices is discussed as an analytical category for understanding informational dynamics in specific social contexts, such as atypical motherhood on social media. Informational resilience is understood as the process through which mothers deal with information, from the initial rupture and emotional barriers to the development of informational practices that enable support seeking, guidance, and the re-signification of experiences. The study also discusses the pain experienced by atypical mothers and proposes the concept of “atypical maternal pain.” Content Analysis was adopted as the methodological approach, allowing the identification and interpretation of discursive elements related to the theme. The corpus consists of two posts from the Instagram feed of the profile @somoscolodemae. The analysis focuses on how atypical mothers share experiences and pain within the context of atypical motherhood, highlighting informational practices articulated with emotional, social, and cultural dimensions. The results indicate evidence of informational practices primarily oriented toward the sharing of information.
