Study on the Influence of Cultural Factors on China Latin American Trade

Summary analysis discovers that there are only a few literatures on the trade between the Latin America and Caribbean and China from the culture perspective, which is mainly caused by the lack of data. Based on the revised trade gravity model, the study used the multiple imputation methods to process the six cultural dimension data of 18 countries in Latin America and Caribbean, and select the sample trade data of the 18 countries from 2005 to 2014, to explore the impact cultural factors on the trade between China and Latin America and Caribbean trade. The results show that cultural differences have a negative impact on Latin America trade, and the influence of different cultural dimensions on the total import and export volume are different. China's import and export volume and the total amount of exports to Latin America and Caribbean are relatively consistent. This paper suggests that we should strengthen cultural exchanges and promote cultural integration in the process of China Latin America trade, and According to the impact of trade in the different cultural dimensions to take measures to promote long-term trade.
